About us

I am Astrid, the founder of
Rent a Nanny-Mallorca and I have been living on this beautiful island since 2018.
​
I am your direct contact for all questions regarding your childcare shortages and I look forward to getting to know you.
As a "serial entrepreneur" and mother of two wonderful children who have long since grown up, I can very well understand the special needs of busy parents.
​
It's been quite a few years, but as a young mum I've experienced first hand how difficult it is to balance work or self-employment and childcare, without having a support network at hand.
​
Ideally, grandparents or other trusted people step in, but unfortunately this is not always possible. Either they live too far away, they work themselves or they don't want to be constantly involved in childcare.
Until today, nothing much has changed in this regard.
​
The increasing demand for flexible childcare, especially after the arrival of the Covid 19 pandemic, inspired me to found Rent a Nanny-Mallorca in 2021 and I am fully committed to my work as a caregiver and organiser.
​
If time permits, I will be happy to personally take care of assignments in the immediate vicinity of Cala Millor. Otherwise, I have made it my business to process incoming customer enquiries efficiently and in a timely manner. I advise parents, answer questions, conduct customer and employee meetings as well as job interviews and pull out all the stops to realise even urgent requests in a timely manner.
If we cannot immediately suggest a suitable babysitter/childminder from our own ranks for the requested location/care period, we will be happy to mediate suitable availabilities at the client's request.

We are happy to help you organise your everyday life more flexibly and enjoy your holiday just the way you want it.
We know that it is not easy for you to leave your children in the hands of strangers and that it is not easy (even in a familiar environment) to find a trustworthy nanny.
Therefore, we strive to save you all the time and headaches.
We collect references, check CVs and conduct personal interviews
with each candidate who approaches us.
Our employees are personally selected according to strict criteria and consist of professional childminders/educators,
young-at-heart mommies/daddies or
they have have several years of experience in childcare
(e.g. in child entertainment).
